Downloading Screensavers for Beginners

Note: Print out this page as a reference before you begin the Download process.

This page was setup to hopefully help the novice person at downloading files. Probably the #1 confusion is not doing it, but locating the file after you have. Not all systems are identical (Microsoft..Netscape..etc) but generally the basics are the same. Most downloadable files will give you the file size info and file size relates to download time.

Here's what should happen when you click the file you wish to download.
1) The first box you see should ask you what you wish to do with this file. It should have the filename and other info on it. You have chosen to download a file from the location:
AutobodyOnline.exe from AutobodyOnline.com

2) The first box you see should ask you what you wish to do with this file. It should have the filename and other info on it. You should choose to save the file to "DISK". If it has the option box to always ask you, you should also check that box. Then click OK.

3) The next box you should get is the "SAVE AS" window. This box is just asking where you want the selected file saved, you should see in the top small window the default destination of "DESKTOP" also you should notice that in the lower small window is the filename. Destinations and the filename can be changed in this "SAVE AS" window. But you should leave the destination of "DESKTOP" as the default.
Click OK in this window and you should see the next window below.

4) As mentioned all browsers may not look the same but generally they all do the same thing. · Ask what you want to do with the file · Ask where you want the file And last: Confirm that the file is downloading.

5) If everything went well, you should find the file on your DeskTop. Double Click on the file to install it on your desk top…then click on OPEN and follow the prompts.
