For Immediate Release
Super Software Systems, Inc. (SUPERSHOP) announced today, it has through its
attorneys asked the Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission to
investigate State Farm Insurance Company for violations of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act
and Fair Competition Laws as a result of the Service First Program. SUPERSHOP has
asked State Farm to allow its Estimating, Imaging, Communication System to be used
in the Service First program and State Farm has refused.
SUPERSHOP is represented by the International law firm of Hughes, Hubbard & Reed,
LLP. James Kobak, Jr. is the New York based partner working with SUPERSHOP.
Thomas Demola, President of Super Software Systems, Inc. stated that all Collision
Shop owners and Independent Appraisers should write to the Justice Department, the
Federal Trade Commission as well as their State Attorney General to investigate State
Farm and the Service First Program.
No one should be forced by an insurance company to buy a specific Estimating system.
If the writer prefers, they should state in their letter that they wish to remain
annonymous to the point that they don’t want their name released Mr. Demola said.
Never again will the people in this Industry have an opportunity such as this to reclaim
the right to run an independent business, and the government needs to hear from
others he added.
SUPERSHOP believes if the government looks at what is happening with State Farm and
sees that the industry is concerned, it will have no choice but to intervene not only
with State Farm but with other insurance companies as well. Thereby releasing the
insurance stranglehold on the industry.
Insurance companies have been racking up record profits at the expense of the collision
repair industry throughout the decade and its time for collision repairers to advance.
For additional information on where to write please call SUPERSHOP at 908-879-2477.
